There are many opportunities available with the Grand County Animal Shelter and Grand County Pet Pals.  Please help us with our shelter by making a financial commitment and becoming a member, volunteering your time, or by donating goods or services on our Wish List.

Membership

Membership is available to anyone interested in the welfare of Grand County pets.  As a member, you will be assisting in the mission of Pet Pals and helping the Grand County Animal Shelter.  The success of Pet Pals is largely dependent upon the generous contributions from people like you through annual memberships.  Family memberships are $20 per year.  Additional contributions are graciously accepted.

As a member, you will receive our bi-annual newsletter, your donation will help to reduce pet over-population, and your support will help us provide care for animals in need.

Volunteer Opportunities

Just a few of the things volunteers are needed for:

• Walk/Bathe/Train the dogs

• Spend time brushing the cats

• Spend time comforting and socializing the animals

• Buy a Pet Pals sticker and show your support while helping the animals.

• Sponsor a donation jar at your business

• Help out at our fundraising events

• Become a Board Member

• Help with the newsletter

• Provide a foster home

BOARD VACANCY: GGPP, Inc. has a vacancy on its Board of Directors.  We are looking for someone that would be interested in coordinating activities and volunteers. 

Love animals?  Have some spare time?  GCPP, Inc. is looking for VOLUNTEERS.  If you want to help out with fundraising activities, special events, or if you prefer working with the animals at the Shelter, we can use your skills.

If you or your family would like to spend some quality time volunteering for or at the Shelter, please call Mary Ann, Rich, or Robbin at (970) 887-2988, Monday through Friday between noon and 6 p.m.  There are often opportunities to volunteer on weekends, but please call during the above hours to set something up.

Do you ever shop at Pet Smart?  If so, next time you might ask them if they have any "Torn Bags" for sale.  It seems that torn bags get taped up and sold at a discount.  This would be a great way to pick up a bag of food for the Animal Shelter.
