Pets of the Week |
Grand County Pet Pals believes that adopting a pet is a Lifetime Commitment to a FOREVER HOME. Can you make that commitment? Most dogs and cats live 10 to 15 years old or longer. Owning a pet is a serious responsibility, emotionally and financially, and isn't a decision that should be made without putting a lot of thought into it. Ask yourself these questions and then decide if you are ready to become a pet owner with all its associated trials and joys.

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS One of the main goals of the Grand County Animal Shelter and Pet Pals is to attempt to find each unique animal a home. All animals will have been spayed or neutered. Adoption fees range from $30 to $75 and include rabies vaccine and county tags. The difference in the fees charged depends upon whether an animal comes in with current rabies and/or county tags. If the animal has tags, the cost is less. Grand County Pet Pals also has a Senior Adoption Program. This program allows for lower to no fee and applies to both seniors adopting animals and to anyone adopting a senior animal. If you are interested in a senior adoption of either kind, please call the Shelter for information about the fees. If you are interested in adopting an animal, there are two requirements that must be met.

Do you still want to adopt? Do you want a dog or a cat? Do you want a puppy or a kitten? There are a lot of good reasons to adopt an older animal vs. a younger one or a cat vs. a dog...or vice versa! The staff at the Shelter will be happy to assist you in making that decision. I think I want to adopt a DOG...click here! I think I want to adopt a CAT...click here! |
