Caring for Our Community’s Pets

Did you know that each year on average, about 250 animals are taken in and cared for at the Grand County Animal Shelter? The Animal Shelter not only processes adoptions, but also helps reunite lost pets with their owners. If you follow us on Facebook, you’ve probably seen posts shared about found cats and dogs. With the community’s help, we’re able to reconnect lost pets with their owners. Here are some numbers on how we help our community and their pets, representing 2025 stats:

247 released to their owner after a stay at the shelter
106 adopted animals
